Why Are People Against Gays & Lesbians

One thing I do not understand is why do people discriminate against gays and lesbians.  Personally I think gays and lesbians are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, they are very respectful and kind and they do not discriminate, gays and lesbians go through a lot yet they still manage to be nice to people and still have a smile on there faces.  We need to stop being mean and disrespectful to gays and lesbians they are humans too, they are not aliens, they are very nice people.  Also to give everyone a heads up this article was written by a straight male and I do not discriminate.
